How It All Started

What began as a simple market report on fine art reproduction quickly evolved into something much greater: a global resource dedicated to empowering artists, galleries, museums, and institutions around the world.

Our team explores the craft and process of fine art reproduction and its impact on the creative ecosystem. From safeguarding irreplaceable originals to democratizing access to art and creating new revenue streams for artists and artwork owners, the benefits are far-reaching.

Our Founder

Heidi Thompson leads Global Art Reproduction, where education is one of her top priorities. She has an appreciation for art and participates in a local art book club, where members read books on art history and discuss current events. It was the book, The Lost Painting: The Quest for a Caravaggio Masterpiece by Jonathan Harr, that prompted Thompson’s first research project into the reproduction of Caravaggio's The Taking of Christ.

Thompson brings more than 25 years of experience in graphic communications, guiding Global Art Reproduction with both expertise and vision. She enjoys speaking about art reproduction and sharing her knowledge of the craft’s processes and tools.
